Application
(1) Cosmetics
The combination of low application, surface tension, easy spreading and suitable viscosity gives personal care products a lubricating and greasy feeling, making the skin soft. It has anti-foaming, defoaming and anti-foaming effects, preventing the "whitening" phenomenon when applying the product. Different products require different viscosities. The higher the viscosity, the greater the oiliness. Low viscosity gives the skin a dry feeling. Due to its sedimentation, the amount used in cosmetic formulas is relatively low. The characteristics of the product can be adjusted by compounding polydimethylsiloxanes of different viscosity grades.
(2) Electrical products
Polydimethylsiloxane can be used for electronic connectors in the electrical and electronic industry.
(3) Leather products
Polydimethylsiloxane can be used for fibers and leather: water repellent, softener, feel improver, defoamer in the dyeing industry, and lubricant for sewing threads. The emulsion can be used for leather greasing to enhance the hydrophobicity, softness and comfort of the leather. Treating the leather surface with it can enhance the wear resistance, water resistance and demoulding properties.
(4) Brighteners
Polydimethylsiloxane is suitable for use as a brightener component for automobiles, furniture, footwear, cement products, etc., including automobile brighteners, foam furniture cleaners, vinyl roof cleaners, and building material brightener formulas. The minimum amount can achieve the best effect.
(5) Release agent
Polydimethylsiloxane can be used as a release agent for rubber or plastic products (brake plates, screw heads, plugs, etc.) and EVA shoe materials. It can be used directly or diluted 10-200 times with low-hardness water. The product is efficient, stable, and has a wide range of uses.
(6) Lubricant
Polydimethylsiloxane can be used as a lubricant for extruded rubber products such as conveyor belts. It can be used as a lubricant in the following textile processes: lubrication of yarn and sutures, production of socks and underwear, lubrication of suture needles, and glass fiber filters.
(7) Other fields
Polydimethylsiloxane is a food-grade defoaming agent that can be used for defoaming during brewing and fermentation of medicines and foods. Because it is non-toxic and does not cause physiological reactions in the human body, it is also used as a medical defoaming agent for the treatment of acute pulmonary edema and flatulence. The substance called silicone (or silicone oil) in pharmaceutical monographs is a general term for a class of organic silicon oxide polymers. Dimethyl silicone oil is only one of its commonly used in medicines.
Packaging and Storage
It needs to be packed in clean, sealed and internally coated iron drums or plastic drums, 200kg drum, 1000kg IBC;
It is a non-dangerous product. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight during transportation and prevent acidic and alkaline substances from entering. Store in a well-ventilated warehouse. Protect from rain, moisture and sunlight during transportation.
The storage period is eight months from the date of production. If the storage period exceeds the storage period, the product quality can be inspected in accordance with relevant standards. If it meets the standard requirements, it can still be used.
