Coupling Agent
Equivalent of Momentive's A-1100, Dow's Z-6011, Wacker's GF93, Evonik's AMEO, ShinEtsu's KBE-903.
Silane coupling agent KH-550 is the earliest widely used coupling agent, with a history of more than 40 years. One end of its structure has active groups such as amino and vinyl that can react with synthetic resin molecules such as epoxy, phenolic, and polyester. The other end is an alkoxy group (such as methoxy, ethoxy, etc.) or chlorine atom connected to silicon. These groups are hydrolyzed in the presence of water in aqueous solution or air to generate reactive silanols that can react with hydroxyl groups on the surface of glass, minerals, and inorganic fillers. Therefore, silane coupling agents are often used in silicate-filled epoxy, phenolic, polyester resin systems. In addition, it can also be used in FRP production to improve its mechanical strength and resistance to humid environments.

Application
1. Be applied in plastic products (including cables, glassfiber-reinforcement plastics etc.), rubber products, adhesives, coatings, pigments dispersion, inks, magnetic materials (plastic magnet and rubber magnet), metallic casting resins and liquid silicone resin concrete, etc.
2. Maximizes the physical and electrical properties of mineral-filled phenolics, epoxies, polyamides, polybutylene terephthalate, and a host of other thermoset and thermoplastic composites. Filler wetting and dispersibility in the polymer matrix are also improved.
3. Improves adhesion between magnetic powder and organic resins and dispersion of magnetic powder inorganic resins. Also these magnetic appliances attain higher magnetic orientation and excellent magnetic properties, higher mechanical strength, good processability, excellent weathering resistance.
4. In glass-reinforced thermoset plastics,it enhances the flexural, compressive, and interlaminar shear strengths before and after exposure to humidity. And greatly improves wet electrical properties.
5. With nitrile, polysulfide, epoxy, urethane, and adhesives and sealants, silane adhesion promoter improves pigment dispersion and maximizes adhesion to glass, aluminum, and steel.
6. When it is used, glass-reinforced thermoplastics, polyamides, polyesters, and polycarbonates exhibit increased flexural and tensile strengths before and after wet exposure.
7. In glass fiber and mineral wool insulation, as a phenolics resin binder additive, 3- aminopropyltriethoxysilane imparts moisture resistance and allows recovery after compression.
8. In shell molding foundry applications, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane strengthens the bond between the phenolics binder and foundry sand.
9. In grinding wheels, promotes an improved, water-resistant bond between the abrasive grit and phenolics resin binder.
10. Be an excellent adhesion prompter in urethane, epoxy, and acrylic latex coatings, adhesives, and sealants.
Packaging and Storage
Be supplied in 25Kg plastic drum, 200Kg steel drum or 1000Kg IBC container.
In the unopened container, this product has a shelf life of one year.
